Smart Water. Stronger Voices: Celebrating Women in Water at Master Meter

Written by Jennifer Nunez | Mar 31, 2026 11:00:00 AM

As we wrap up Women’s History Month, we’re reflecting on the achievements, leadership, and lasting impact of women across every industry. In the water sector especially, women continue to shape innovation, strengthen communities, and drive meaningful progress—and at Master Meter, we’re proud to celebrate the leaders helping move our company and our industry forward.

At Master Meter, we’ve always been driven by innovation. From smart metering technology to utility data management, our mission is to help communities manage water more intelligently and sustainably. But behind every smart solution we deliver is something even more powerful—our people.

As this month comes to a close, we’re especially proud to celebrate the women who help lead our company forward and contribute to the broader Women in Water movement.

Leadership That Looks Like Progress

Over the past few years, Master Meter has made exciting strides—expanding our technology, deepening our partnerships, and reinforcing our company culture. One of the most visible signs of our evolution is reflected in the makeup of our executive leadership team.

Today, we’re proud to have women leading in four key executive roles across Master Meter:

  • Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

  • Vice President of Operations

  • Vice President of Field Service & Support

  • Director of Marketing

These are not symbolic positions—they are critical leadership roles driving strategy, operational excellence, customer success, and brand vision across the organization.

“It’s an exciting time at Master Meter,” said Coby Kleinjan, Senior Vice President. “The presence of women in senior leadership is helping shape a stronger, more responsive, and forward-thinking company. As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we’re proud to recognize the impact these leaders have every day.”

Why Representation in Water Matters

The water industry has traditionally been male-dominated, but that narrative continues to evolve. Women are leading utilities, engineering smarter water systems, managing field operations, and shaping the future of infrastructure across North America.

At Master Meter, we believe diversity in leadership strengthens our ability to innovate, collaborate, and solve complex challenges. Different perspectives lead to better decisions—and better outcomes for the utilities and communities we serve.

For us, diversity is not a trend or a talking point—it’s a reflection of who we are and who we aspire to be. We’ve seen firsthand how inclusive leadership leads to stronger teams, deeper engagement, and smarter solutions that meet real-world needs.

“Leadership is about lifting others up and creating opportunities,” said our CFO. “I’m proud to be part of a company that values diverse perspectives and supports growth at every level.”

Creating Space for the Next Generation of Women in Water

Women’s History Month is not only about celebrating achievements—it’s about creating pathways for the future.

As Master Meter continues to evolve, we are committed to building an environment where the next generation of leaders—women and men alike—can thrive in engineering, field service, product development, finance, marketing, and beyond.

We are building a workplace where:

  • Leadership is accessible.

  • Voices are heard.

  • Growth is supported.

  • Impact is shared.

We want young professionals entering the water industry to see possibility. We want them to see representation. And we want them to know there is space for them to lead.

Honoring Women in Water—Today and Every Day

While March gives us a special opportunity to spotlight Women in Water, our commitment extends year-round. The strength of Master Meter lies in the collective talent, experience, and dedication of our entire team.

We’re proud of our technology.

We’re proud of our partnerships.

And this Women’s History Month, we’re especially proud of the women who are helping lead our company—and our industry—forward.
