Key Corporate Milestones & Product Introductions:



Early years

1970     Texas company known as Aqua Utilities is organized as a waterworks distributor.
1980     Aqua Utilities becomes Master Meter and begins manufacturing a multi-jet meter line.
1985     Turbine meters introduced in Bronze 2" - 6", and cast iron 8" - 12" sizes.
1988     Fire Hydrant Meter is introduced to much acclaim.


1990's

1990     Expanding production growth necessitates larger factory and relocation to Longview, TX.

1991     DIALOG® Encoder, on-site read (wand), LAN Fixed Network, and telephone AMR introduced. Master Meter becomes active in submetering markets.
1991     Dual Body Compound meters (DBC) are introduced in 2", 3", 4" and 6" sizes.
1994     AMR-X (Extended Distance AMR) introduced for submeter market.
1994     ReadMaster® and Micronet® Programmer/Reader introduced.
1995     FM-approved Fire Service Compound and Fire Service Turbines are introduced in 4" - 8" sizes.
1997     ISO 9002 certification achieved for Longview facility. Others in industry follow our lead.
1997     MasterLINX™, T-LINX, LAN-LINX, RF-LINX™, and LDL technologies are introduced.
1998     MMT-S (integral strainer and turbine meter) is introduced.
1999     New corporate offices in Fort Worth, TX are established for Master Meter, Inc.
1999     No-lead product using SeBiLOY II (now called EnviroBrass II) is introduced.

2000

2000     Innovative Flexible Axis Meter (FAM) introduced.
2001     DIALOG's 2G® on-site (wand) product launched
with integrated Sensus® protocol.
2001     Greentree Applied Systems acquired by Master Meter to offer unmatched software and hardware integration services.
2002     DIALOG 3G® introduces to market a completely integrated ConnectionFree™ encoder register with RF transmitter, battery and antenna inside.

2002     Bottom Loaded Multi-Jets (BLMJ) introduced in 5/8" x ¾" sizes.
2002     NSF61 certification achieved for MJ meters (5/8" - 2" sizes) using EnviroBrass II.
2003     Frost & Sullivan Product Quality Leadership & Market Engineering Award goes to 3G®.

2003     3G® Universal XTR is introduced delivering expanded compatibility with existing competitor encoder and pulse register utility infrastructure. Also provides path for technology migration of Master Meter direct read meters.

2004     Corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility relocated to Mansfield, TX.

2005     Innovative 3G® Interpreter™ universal AMR register is introduced. Delivers 3G® technology to most any competitor meter currently installed without wires or connections.

2006     1,000,000+ 3G® deployed in initial 36 months – overwhelming market acceptance.

2006     3G® technology integrated into the Sensus® iCon™ residential electric meter.

2006     MMPD - Positive Displacement flow meter (5/8" - 1" sizes) introduced to market.
2006     MMPD sets accuracy endurance records at Utah Water Research Laboratory in 4,000,000 USG (simulated 35 - 40 years) test.
